is the most talented orator in sports media in broadcasting certainly at

ESPN but for whatever reason ESPN continues to set him up to fail they set him up to fail by asking him to be a generalist.

Stephen A Smith doesn't have to be a generalist. Sure on a two to three hour

radio show you can field questions about the NFL and about Major League Baseball

the Olympics whatever sure but in a tightly produced television program why the

hell is Stephen A Smith Smith talking football. We now have so many choices in the

sports media landscape where we get our information. There's no reason to listen to

generalists, especially if you're looking for in-depth comprehensive

information about your favorite sport past-time hobby.

You would never ask Stephen A. Smith a question about football.

Any more than you would ask Teddy Bruski a basketball question. And yet when

Teddy Bruski visited the set of first take, talk football unfortunately this was a couple months ago and

Stephen A Smith said that the charges need to look out for Spencer Ware and Derek Johnson
