So sensational to be with you, wherever you may be in time or space and speaking of asynchronous communication a thought experiment that I love to do revolves around sort of inverting the way we typically think about phenomena.

That is instead of thinking about it in terms of chronological cause and effect, look for what might be pulling it forward.

Look for the end point, the attractor, what Joseph Campbell called the hidden cause.

We start to bring narrative to whatever is going on by

imagining this end result and in doing that we create a secret cause, so to speak.

And as we consider and clarify that end point,

it becomes more salient to us.

And then just by putting more attention on it in a way I think

we make it more likely to occur and you can ascribe metaphysics to that if you

if you like but even if it's just psychological, even if it's purely occurring within

the confines of our cranium, I think just by imagining it and giving it attention, we're making it more real than it was.

We're making it more likely to come to pass than it was, or something approaching that, even if it never fully gets there.
