Sleep Paralysis or a mimic.

Bridget says,

Since a young age I have experienced sleep paralysis, and this is really fascinating to me.

Some experiences have felt somewhat threatening, while others are just downright bizarre. However, I have always felt some sort of protection during

them if I was to believe that there are spiritual forces attached to the phenomenon.

This particular occurrence was probably the most frightening, although I'm still not certain that it was sleep paralysis.

I was living in a rental house with my now ex boyfriend, and on this particular day I had come home from work. My ex had a later shift and was to get

home a few hours later than me. We had had some kind of petty fight the night before, so I knew

when he got home we needed to chat.

That afternoon I had a nap in our bed, but I woke up to the very distinct sound of the automatic

garage door opening.

This could be heard clearly from our room as the garage was

attached to the house. I heard my ex walk through the garage door, across the

hallway and past our bedroom door frame, which was open.

It was now just past twilight, so the surroundings were dark,

but still just light enough that I could see shadows and silhouettes,

and I saw his silhouette pass the door on his way to put his lunchbox in the kitchen after

his shift like he always did.

He then walked into our room and walked up to the bed beside me with a sad, awkward expression on his face that I could make out
