Welcome, everybody. Welcome everybody to this edition of The Untold Story podcast. I'm really excited today to have Montel Williams with us.

You know him well, of course, for all of his great achievements in talk television for decades.

He's a former Marine. He's been through a lot personally as well. He has struggled with a stroke

and with MS. He has a lot of compassion for people who are going through the kind of things

that he has struggled with and risen above and a lot of military members as well which

obviously he has a great affinity and passion for supporting as well so

Montel welcome it's great to talk to you thanks for being here today thank you

so much for having me for sure so tell us a little bit about this project the military military makeover with Montel, because you have a very

special guest who joins you on this episode to celebrate a young man who he has a personal

relationship with as well. Very interesting. We just aired the finale of our 36th season, which was with Carlos

Colon-Riez and his family. And Carlos is a Afghan war veteran who suffered some horrible

injuries while serving for us, protecting our democracy here.

Carlos was blown up by rocket propelled grenade that hit his Humvee, or his military vehicle,

exploded very close to his face.

He ended up losing an eye, sighted in one eye, lost his hearing.

He only has 50% hearing in one ear.
