| 0:17.0 | A month ago, markets were in a much different place as investors were fretting about the uncertainty surrounding the outcome of the U.S. election |
| 0:24.0 | and the inevitable second wave of COVID-19. |
| 0:27.0 | Fast forward to today, however, and markets appear to be worrying very little about much of anything. |
| 0:31.0 | Part of this is due to the election having mostly been completed with the most |
| 0:33.9 | favorable outcome the markets were hoping for. A divided government |
| 0:37.1 | assuming that Georgia's Senate runoff leads to at least one seat remaining Republican. |
| 0:41.0 | Such an outcome is being viewed positively mainly because this means the 2017 corporate |
| 0:45.4 | tax cuts will likely stay in place. |
| 0:47.8 | In addition, we receive great news on the availability of two highly effective vaccines and |
| 0:52.2 | potentially a third one, all of which should be available |
| 0:54.5 | for mass distribution by the end of the first quarter. |
| 0:57.0 | This means we are getting closer to the end of this ordeal and that markets can start to discount |
| 1:00.8 | what a full reopening of the economy looks like. |
| 1:03.4 | Needless to say this will be very positive for many stocks, but especially those that have been |
| 1:07.0 | hit the hardest by the pandemic and the subsequent lockdown. |
| 1:10.2 | The good news is that these are exactly the kinds of stocks we've been recommending for months. |
| 1:13.7 | In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if regular listeners have grown tired of hearing me push small caps, |
| 1:18.2 | consumer services, materials, financials, and industrials. |
