Phil Perry over here on my right, the Patriots first OTA that we got to gobble up is in the books.

It's the second OTA under Mike Vrable.

Here's what Mike had to say before the event took place, beginning at noon.

What constitutes a good day for you at OTA?

What would make you happen to the end of the day today?

That, you know, again, I'm going to set myself up for failure because you're going to look

and read off every single one I say here, that we're in and out of the huddle, that there's

clean substitution, that there's communication.

You hear the defense making checks when somebody on the offense moves or motions, there's

coordination and that the offense is moving with urgency and that the play

clock isn't sitting at zero for four seconds and all the operational things. And then obviously

there's got to be a level of execution when we're in the speed and then when we get to the jog

through, can we practice at a tempo that's less than 100% and still get something out of it?

Before we get into the nitty and the gritty, Phil, three impressions from the practice.

And yes, we will go deep on Drake May's four, count them four, count them four picks.

Yeah, so I think just as an impression, I would say offensively, a little

sloppy. So that's one, and we can dig into that a little bit further. I also would say

just overall, the feel and the tenor of the practice was more intense than I was anticipating.

We for years, Tom, we heard about how this time of year,

these camps are really teaching camps.
