Well, thanks everyone for coming out on this not awesome weather night to listen to us, talk about politics.

So I am, Mike, and this is Jay, and I was saying before we stepped off that just by looking at the way we're dressed,

you might get a sense of our ideological predispositions a little bit here.

And, Jay, if you're ready, I thought we could just start right in. Okay, well, just a regular show.

Let's do it. Well, you know, I thought we'd open with the aftermath of that really tragic synagogue

shooting in Pittsburgh, which, of course course left 11 people dead. And the shooter

was pretty clear. There was an anti-Semite who just before the shooting posted about the group

Hyas, the Hebrew Immigration Aid Society. And that's a nonprofit that helps to resettle refugees

in the United States.

And for those who don't know, his post-red,

he also likes to bring invaders that kill our people.

I can't sit by and watch my people get slaughtered.

Screw your optics.

I'm going in.

And in the wake of the shooting, you know, many people, especially on the left,

argued that President Trump's very aggressive anti-immigrant rhetoric might have actually contributed to some extent to this incident.

And, of course, it's a charge that the president has vehemently denied, and he turned it back on the media saying that once again they are the enemy of the people

something he said a number of times now in the past and they're really the problem so i think that

kind of summarizes you know we're at with this and so jay what are your thoughts well you know i guess

the first thing is if trump is going to be the target,
