Did Justin Fields show you enough growth in year two to believe he's a franchise quarterback?

Justin Fields became in his second season one of the most dynamic quarterbacks in all of football,

one of the best running threats really since Michael Vick. And it would be foolish at this

point to give up on Justin Fields. The challenge is get the most out of him, develop him as a

passer to go along with those running skills, which really are the best of any quarterback in the NFL

right now. This is a great thing that the Bears have. Anytime you draft a quarterback,

you're scratching off a lottery ticket. They have a winner. They need to keep him and build around him and build his game out to make him into the best quarterback he can be.

What do you think is the best plan of attack for the Bears in free agency? Any players the

bears should target as must get? But given the Bears have plenty of cap space and cash to spend in free agency, it's tempting to come up

with a list of must-get players. The problem with must-get players is you end up paying way too

much for them. That's one of the problems we see time and again. The teams that wait a few days

end up getting better value.

And when the bears have so many different needs to address, maybe you target one guy.

If you're convinced he's going to be a difference maker, if you're convinced that he's going

to come in right away and make you instantly better.

But how many times do we go through this where we see a team that goes out and makes this

gigantic haul

in free agency, and it never quite pans out.

One of the reasons it doesn't pan out, when you make that rush, you end up spending too much,

and you end up blowing the cap space you have and creating problems.

Even with all the cap space the bears have, Justin Fields, if he continues on this trajectory,
