by Truckers.

He has one solo album, it's a live album, but it's a great treatment of all those songs and man Mike I don't I don't know if you know this but I mean

You wrote one of my very favorite songs of all time and I want to ask you a lot about it so thanks for being here.

You know, but Mike you don't do a ton of interviews compared to Patterson or Jason.

Not a lot, I don't do quite a bit, you know.

Yeah, so let me start with, I want to talk to you about Carl Perkins Cadillac.

Okay.

Which is a song, for me, it was a song that really opened up the drive by truckers to me.

It's what made me like an obsessed truckers fan.

How did that, and it seems to me that that song is, has so much stuff in it that you're fascinated by,

like what rock and roll means, what it means to be a person of your word, what it means it means to be a person of your word

what it means to decide

when you'll sell yourself or for what reasons like

how did that song come to be?

It was just it was a they tell the story when you take the Sun

studio store if you've ever done that I've done it several times over the years

in Memphis and it I don't know how much of it's absolutely true.

That's what makes these things.
