I'm Connor Beaten, the host and founder of Mantox.

Now, joining me today is a friend of mine, Mr. Mike Brissick, and he's an adventurer,

a writer, an entrepreneur, a father, a husband, a traveler, and a food lover.

He lives in Toronto and loves exploring worlds both far and near.

Now, he has been an entrepreneur for quite a long time.

He created a company called Sacred Rides Mountain Bike Adventures and through their courses,

workshops, and consulting for social entrepreneurs, it's built up an incredible company that he

actually just transitioned out of last year, or sorry, last week. So it's very, very new.

So Mike and I, really, we sort of run the gamut. Mike lost his father when he was

16 years old and he shares some of his experiences of losing a parent that early on. And interestingly

enough, his experience of it was that for quite a long time. He actually hadn't really thought

that it really impacted him.

So he shares a very deep part of his life in terms of losing a parent and working through

that process. We talk about how to navigate transition, any kind of transition in life,

whether it's the transition of losing a parent or a partner or something along those lines

and working through the grief for transitioning through a career, much like he is doing right now.

So he actually shares some real-time experiences that he is going through in terms of exiting his

former company, starting up a new one, and actually shares some real life experience of

what he's going through in terms of right now with that transition. So we talk about that.
