The world has woken up this morning to something that we at this radio station have been talking

about for years.

The illegal migrant crisis for so long, ignored by the chattering classes, for so long

forgotten about by countless do-gooder organisations for so long

poo-poohed by the middle classes whose lives are frankly not affected by it so they don't care.

Finally now they're all sitting up and taking notice no longer is all immigration good.

No more will we be hearing that all illegal migrants have a right to come to Britain and apply for asylum?

It's an awful truism that tragedy like the one we've seen happening in the English Channel yesterday,

usually changes government policy and also focuses everybody's brains.

It is now, more than ever clear that the gangmasters and the people smugglers must be stopped

from applying their disgusting trade in human misery.

The question really is why has something not been done before? Now, surely,

as I've been saying for months, this single issue was a threat to the government. It was also

a threat to the country. It's now turned out to be a threat tragically to so many human lives

as well. 27 people dying in the channel yesterday. This morning we'll be talking to former

Brexit Party MEP, Ben Habib,on what must now be done to bring this deadly

business finally to an end and we'll also be talking to Craig McKinley who's

the Tory M. Pathanet who lives down in that neck of the woods where an awful lot of

the people who arrive on our shores end up staying for a very very long time.
