So let's kick things off with Hugo. My name is Hugo. I'm six years old and this is my question.

Why don't really birds get stung when they're all stinging nettles? Thank you for this, Hugo.

We need to remember why stinging nettles sting.

They've got these needle-like hairs that inject chemicals, toxic chemicals, into your skin.

jab you with the toxic chemicals that are mainly aimed at rabbits and deer, they can't break

through that skeleton so they can't hurt the ladybirds. So they do it really easily. They just sit

there, they mind their own business without getting poisoned. And it's very key to remember that

ladybirds don't want to eat stinging nettles.

They're not predators. So the nettles have got no reason to be worried by them. Instead,
