I got with me, my buddy, Steve Palazolo, from the Check the Mike podcast and the 33rd team.

You know, Steve.

He did all that pro football focus stuff for years and years.

Huge Patriots guy.

He knows his stuff.

But before we get to Steve, just before I came on, we're doing this mid-afternoon on a Tuesday,

I saw Greg Bedard was on with Felgar and Mass.

I'm in the studio here. And I saw one of the, the final question being posed to Greg in the big boy 10 questions,

whatever they call them, was, are you enjoying as a Patriots reporter covering the team this year?

And as we all do, we walked past the TV, we started talking to it, or maybe at my age.

And I thought to myself, am I enjoying this? And I wouldn't past the TV. We started talking to it, or maybe at my age. And I thought to myself,

am I enjoying this? And I wouldn't use the word enjoyment right now. I find this season more

frustrating as a reporter than anything else for a variety of reasons. The first one is it's hard

to establish what their true goal is and how close they are to achieving it on a week to week basis.

And we all understood that.

So going in, it's developed Drake May, as I've said a million times, but also ooze competency and stability.

Well, what's that look like?

I know it doesn't look like what it's looked like, but do they ooze a little bit of stability when Mayo calls him soft and then instead of turning on him, the players actually respond in a way?

Is it oozing competency and stability when you have, and people bristle at any mention of injuries as if it's excuse-making.
