Good morning and welcome to the Independent Republic of Mike Graham right here on Talk Radio.

It's the day we've all been waiting for, the beginning of the end, the start of another chapter,

as we edge ever closer to leaving the European Union on March to 29.

Or not, the MPs will return from their holidays and nothing, and I mean nothing, has actually changed.

Prime Minister Theresa May is up in Liverpool announcing a plan to save half a million more lives

in the next 10 years and actually not taking the credit for it. International Trade Secretary

Liam Fox was over in Hollywood, attending the Golden Globes, because that's very important,

of course, and a collection of former cabinet ministers and Labour peers are trying to hold

the government to ransom

over a no-deal. Tom Brake is also involved in that. He's a Lib Dem Brexit spokesman. We're

going to talk to him about that as well. All in all, the shambles continues, and we're back at

the Independent Republic to try and make sense of it all. And it may involve our return to College

Green in Westminster as early as tomorrow. A week from now, they're all going to chance of a meaningful vote on the deal on the table.

They've just announced that it's going to happen on the 15th a week tomorrow,

unless the Prime Minister decides to just forget the whole thing between now and then.

The government can still win the vote, though, especially if Labor abstains,

as they've indicated they might do.

And the second referendum brigade are still charging their tanks for another attempt at derailing democracy.
