by talking to a beat

reporter who covers that program closely. New Mexico, of course, is Michigan's week one opponent.

That's a 730 kickoff at the big house. It'll also air nationally on NBC and on Peacock.

The Lobos are a fascinating program that have undergone more change than perhaps any other program in college football in losing their coach, in losing dozens of players to the transfer portal, Michigan, their players, their staff.

They don't really know what to expect when New Mexico comes to town this week.

So that's why we are giving you

the inside scoop with someone who has seen it all, who's covered the coaching transition,

the transfer portal additions, who has been there at practice, at scrimmages, and knows what

New Mexico will be bringing to Ann Arbor this weekend. So without further ado, let's go Behind Enemy Lines and learn about

Sean, how's going? Good, man. Thanks for having me on. Appreciate it.

It is always exciting time a year, always a busy time a year. It's, I feel like as you work as a

beat reporter, you kind of get a sense of the pulse of a program. You know, players leave,

players graduate, coaches change sometimes, certainly picked up a bit in the transfer portal era,

but it feels like I haven't seen something quite as extreme as what's happened in New Mexico.

So, Sean, walk us through what this offseason has been like covering a program that

last year went five and seven, upset number 18 Washington State near the end of the year.
