Welcome to Michigan Hockeycast 7.8, where we hope you had a happy Thanksgiving and enjoyed O for Michigan on Saturday. Okay, Alex, we are going to start with a bit of news.

Tim Lovell, who was a grad transfer defenseman from, well, he started at BC, I guess,

and then went to Arizona State and has ended up at Michigan, is not at the university anymore.

Was the piece of information I received and then not obviously on the

hockey team. It's hard to do one without the other. He was scratched. Was it two weeks ago

against Penn State? And then sort of the same thing this past weekend.

And we didn't really get a clarification on it.

There was a daily article that wrote some things about it,

and then we got the news sort of confirmed.

Do you have a take?

The spokesperson for the Michigan hockey team put out a statement saying Tim Lovell is no longer at the

University of Michigan and therefore is no longer on the Michigan hockey team. And I think

it was the college hockey news guy, McMahon, uh, speculated on a pro deal, uh, which that part makes

sense because it does level has no more eligibility. So it's not like he can, he can't do like the Donovan

McCulley or Cade McNamara thing where you just like leave the team and then plan to transfer

after that because he's out of eligibility.

So if he's leaving the team, there's nowhere for him to go other than to take a pro deal.

Right, but he was still eligible to play this year.

Yeah, I don't think this is a JLF situation.
