The January 6th Select Committee's historic public hearings may be done for the short term,

but the investigation into the insurrection continues on multiple fronts.

The two former senior officials at the center of the latest delete gate controversy,

Trump's former acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf, and former acting

deputy secretary Ken Cuccinelli, had responded to a report in the Washington Post that their

text messages leading up to January 6th have vanished by saying they didn't do it. Both former

officials took to Twitter to blame the former department they worked for, DHS, for the missing texts.

With Wolf adding, quote, DHS has all my text, emails, phone logs, schedules.

Speaking of Wolf, the AP report that the select committee has reached out to him to potentially appear

and is in active talks to bring in another former high-ranking

Trump official, including former Director of National Intelligence, John Radcliffe, and even

former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. Not only that, but former Treasury Secretary and

enthusiast of holding uncut bills, Stephen Mnuchin,

has now also testified, as has former acting chief of staff, Mick Mulvaney, who tells NBC News

he was specifically asked about text messages he sent to current RNC chair,onna McDaniel days after the election.
