All right, welcome back to the forward podcast. I'm Lance, your host, my guest this week, an interesting guy on a whole lot of levels.

One part of his life I know pretty well, which is cycling.

The other part, you know, talking about the afterlife and

Utopia and all these things I don't know anything about.

Michael Schurmer is my guest and boy I had to sharpen the

pencil for this one. He and I've been going back and forth for quite some time. He

was gracious enough many many months ago to introduce me to

Neil degrass Tyson who has been on this podcast if you haven't heard that one go

back and find it but before we get to Michael, a couple things.

First and foremost, I want to talk to all the folks over in Flanders.

I know that months ago it was announced that I would be the featured speaker

there at the Tour Flanders Business Academy and that be able to be a part of the

race so to speak in some aspect.

And as I said earlier today in a press release,

there's just an issue, a personal issue here

with my family that is not one that any of us want to talk about

or make public, but it's one that requires my devoted and full attention here in Austin.

So all hands on deck.

Sorry to all the race fans out there that I can't make it.

Hope to get over there soon, but family first.

And so I'll be sticking around the house.
