My guest today is one of the most popular and respected actors out there, a man who has anchored

blockbuster franchises, been Oscar nominated, and starred in the last two Best picture Oscar winners, Michael Keaton.

The 65-year-old emerged from the world of television to become one of the biggest stars of the 1980s, thanks in no small part to his work in films like 1982's Night Shift, 1983's Mr Mom,

1988's Clean and Sober, and Beetlejuice, and especially 1989's Batman,

as well as its 1992 sequel Batman Returns.

His star faded somewhat in the 90s in the first decade of the 2000s, although he did find

work in films like 1996's Multiplicity, 1997's Jackie Brown, and 1998's out of sight.

But he returned to the four in a big way in Alejandro G. In Yari-Two's 2014 comedy Birdman and Tom McCarthy's 2015 drama spotlight, garnering a

best actor Oscar nomination for the former and getting robbed of a best

supporting actor Oscar nomination for the latter. And this year he gave a performance that is, in my humble

opinion, as good as any he's ever given, in John Lee Hancock's, the founder, a Weinstein company drama

about Ray Crock, the man who widely is believed to have founded McDonald's,
