Did you see the New York Times profile of Matt Farley this weekend.

I didn't read it, but I did see it.

Congrats to friend of the show, Matt Farley.

Yeah, I mean, I'm sure many, maybe even most listening to this,

know who he is, but for those who don don't he is the New England-based songwriter

slash filmmaker who is notable among other things for having written 25,000 songs on Spotify

which through the accrual of many pennies he makes into a living wage

But also to some of us to a smaller number of us

He and his friend Charlie Roxburgh are great filmmakers who have made this very impressive body of work as backyard productions

And I will I will not rest until he has his retrospective on the Criterion channel, which I think will happen but we did an episode on magic spot I think it was called Moturn and us a few months ago

This is maybe treading old ground for older listeners, but if you're a new listener you may may not know that my esteemed co-host, Will Sloane has actually played a not negligible role in putting Matt Farley's cinema on the map.

I've only seen, I think, two of Matt Farley's movies but they are remarkable unique

unusual absolutely worthy of you know wider discussion wider viewing and well you

published a book called Moturn on Moturn that was a series of interviews with you and

Justin DeClue co-host of your other podcast, The Important Cinema Club.
