So yeah, it makes it kind of dreary, but I'm happy to do the show. So that kind of offsets it.

Then let's dive in. Ken writes, when I open the finder and go to my applications folder and view in list or column view, all the

apps are present. But when I go to icon view, I get an empty folder that indicates 255 items, but no icons appear.

It is the same on my super duper backup and when I go to time machine I get the same

result as well. I've only done two things of consequence since

discovering this. I updated iFoto and I used a clean my Mac program to gain some

space. I'm using the latest version of Snow Leopard on a dual core

Z on Mac Pro with 14 gigs of RAM. When I click on the application icon in the

dock, all the apps are present and the machine runs normally in applications open.
