Essentially Dropbox puts a plain text

config.

dot d. be file on Windows computers

and simply copying that file and putting it

on another computer is all one needs to do to open Dropbox on that computer.

Spotlight did not turn up a Dropbox file with exactly that name on my Mac,

but there's plenty of stuff in the library folder that might be the equivalent.

I also wasn't able to Google up where that file might be.
