The race is on, and Max Verstappen turned a disappointing qualifying into a triumphant race in the Mexican Grand Prix to extend his World Championship lead to 19 points over Lewis Hamilton.

But how did Red Bull turn one-lap struggles into race supremacy? And was there any way for

Yeah, for the listeners out there, I'll paint a word picture. The MacBook that we are using

to have this video call and the script is based on is perched precariously atop a vertically

standing suitcase with wires coming out and in different

directions as well. So not only do we have an architecturally unsound base for the laptop,

we also have a few potential triggers for it to be pulled in different directions. So I am

expecting carnage as this podcast continues.

At least if there's a crash, people will know what's going on. But yeah, I'm sort of perched on

the bed. Scott's sort of perched on a square stool thing. I brought a stool in from my hotel room.

It's a great hotel because Scott's made some enemies here, some very, very noisy people who

like shouting at 445 in the morning.

Yep. I even grasped them up. I called a hotel reception at 4.45 a.m. the other day to say,

sort this out because this is ridiculous. So Scott's that person. Mark Hughes, no such dramas for you.

No, no. The opposite end of the energy scale. It's 20 to 2 in the morning UK time. So if I sound a little bit low key, it's just because of that. It's just because of the Earth's rotation and its

relationship to the sun, then the time differences that result between Latin America and the UK.
