Here's what I was thinking about during the vacation, right? When I thought about the show and I thought

about what's going on, which is pretty often, even when I'm on vacation, I think most of us in the

business, I just, you can't completely unplug and not think about stuff.

But anyway, I'm thinking about this and all the different storylines that we've talked about,

really, you know, going back to the offseason, of course, starting with the Soto and the Yankee and the Met stuff,

and then Pete's contract and trickling into the season, you know, all the

injuries that both teams have dealt with, the very uninspiring period, roughly a month of

just bad baseball by both teams where we're like, whoa, what is going on with these teams,

too?

You know, here we are 10 days before the deadline.

And what does it all mean? Well,

listen, I've learned this and even though I know it and we know it, we still do it, we react like

lunatics to every single baseball game because we love it and we care about it. At the end of the

day, you know, the wise thing would probably be to take a bit of a more measured approach because it is 162 games.

But with all the twists and the turns that we've gone through so far, here's the bottom line.
