A caller said the Mets offense has been underperforming all season. The difference in the beginning of the year was the dominant pitching.

I don't know how to feel about this past weekend with the Mets because we were, as you mentioned, really close to coming in here and being super pissed off of that game went a different way yesterday. And now you're thinking, man, you know, you struggle to go into the All-Star break. You come out. You get swept at home on David Wright weekend. Then we're going crazy. But it didn't happen. And they win and they're getting healthier.

So I'm leaning more positive, but I still don't feel like they're out of this funk yet. They're not. Yeah, because they're not. And, you know, the good thing is, is that the Phillies have been in the funk. The Dodgers have been in a funk. Yeah. I would say probably the Tigers. The Cubs.

0:17.8

Cubs seem to be the teams that...

0:20.1

And, you know, Dodgers still have 58 wins.

0:22.9

Padre's is say probably the Tigers. The Cubs. Cubs seem to be the teams that, and, you know, Dodgers

0:39.4

still have 58 wins. Padres are still hanging around. I mean, they're going to have to add to this

0:44.6

bullpen. The thing that drives me crazy about them is it's like when they all, when one goes cold,

0:51.2

they all go cold. You know, how many times did Francisco Indoor, Peter Lanzo, and Juan Soto,

0:58.0

you could say Jeff McNeil as well, although he did come through yesterday,

1:01.0

but how many times have they had opportunities to either take the lead or tie the game and strike out?

1:09.9

I mean, like strike out or pop up or hit into a double play. I mean,

1:14.4

it's just been, you know, they just are not scoring with runners and scoring position. And that

1:19.6

is the number one thing to me anyway that bothers me more than anything about this team is about

1:26.5

the opportunities that are presented and the ones

1:29.3

that are missed for the most part. I mean, it have been missed pretty much for the last 50 to 60 games.

1:36.3

Yeah, I mean, and that's something that you didn't expect to be an issue. Like, I could expect maybe

1:40.5

the rotation to have issues with the injuries. everybody struggles with middle relief and bullpens,

1:45.7

you know, things like that.

1:46.6

But I did not expect this team to struggle to score, especially with men on base.

1:49.7

It's not supposed to be like that.

1:51.2

I mean, this is supposed to be an offense that through and through was going to be one of the

1:54.9

best we had seen in many years.
