All right, we're here doing yet another metal tales from the road, and it feels weird to say yet another because it's been, I don't know, 10 years since we've done one of these.

But we've broken the decade-long silence to talk to Andrew

Bell's Belly. And this metal tales has a story behind it because we were supposed to do the

Indianapolis show way back in March of 2019 when the world was completely different. I can

hardly even remember it. And you're in Australia.

Well, first of all, welcome to the show. Thanks for being here, Andrew. Thank you, point. Thanks for

having me. I appreciate you making the effort to do this. Well, I'm a, I'm a great guy. What can I say?

Despite what my wife says, I'm a great guy. Just just kidding she thinks i'm great sometimes so the deal is

how do you explain the huge number of Metallica fans in Australia? I just remember

Metallica. So when I was, say, 13, 14 in 1988, 89, they were like, you know, underground then.

No one. If you had Metallica written on your bag. people were just like, what's that? You know,

and I would just, you know, there was no, as you know, there were no videos, there was no

nothing on the radio, nothing like that. And then I was January, I wish it was at December

88, but it was actually January 1st, 1989.

And then when I first heard them, and then they came and played at Festival Hall in May of 89.
