Let's start with what you need to know with the big story.

So, Financial Times talked to four people familiar with the matter about the fact that Metta's

Super Intelligence Labs division is building a virtual version of CEO Mark Zuckerberg as a demonstration

of a product that could deliver photorealistic 3D characters that you can interact with

in real time.

This isn't just to make

a Zuckerberg. It's to make a system that would let any of us do this, you know, content creators,

movie makers, museum operators, I don't know, whoever. But Zuckerberg is working on the project

himself to help train and test it. In fact, financial time says he spends about

five to ten hours a week coding for this and other projects at meta. It is being trained on his

public statements, his recent strategic thinking, and of course his voice, his image,

trying to capture his tone, mannerisms, that sort of stuff. One source said the avatar could be put

in place to talk to and give feedback to employees.
