Well, it's hard to believe, but we are once again poised in the very precipice of another Christmas celebration.

And every year as I design our Christmas card,

and I put a lot of thought into it,

I think about what could be said

that would be intriguing.

And this year, I thought our Christmas card

ought to start with a question.

The question that Pilot asked.

Remember he asked Jesus,

are you a king then?

And Jesus answered Pilots saying,

You say rightly that I am a king, for this very cause I was born, and for this very

cause I have come into the world that I should bear witness to the truth.

Everyone who is of the truth, here's my voice. And then Pilate said to Jesus, what is truth?

That may well be the most significant question ever asked. And this Christmas in the noise surrounding all of the Christmas celebrations,

you can as yet hear the quintessential response echoed down through the ages.

I am the way, the truth, the life. Christ, the very personification of truth, set aside the triple barrier of nature, of sin,

of death, of nature by his incarnation, by his coming in flesh, of sin, by his death, and of death, by his resurrection.

And in doing so, he set aside that fiery sword which guards our way to the tree of life.

For now, because of incarnation, we can forever eat from the tree of life

in the eternal garden. You know, the more I contemplate the mystery of God becoming man,
