Hank Hanegraaff, president of the Christian Research Institute and host of the Bible Answer Man broadcast, comments on an article in The Economist, “Christianity Is a Minority Religion in England and Wales,” which notes the precipitous decline of Christianity in Britain. Less than one half of the population now consider themselves to be Christian and the number of people who have “no religion” has rocketed up 57 percent. In the meantime, Islam has risen 42 percent, partly due to immigration. Millions of Muslims have come to a place like England (and the US) to fill a void created by death and abortion. Instead of being a change agent in the culture, the church has become a microcosm of the culture. More often than not the notion that marriage is between a man and a woman or that biological sex is real has become anathema. In other words, the church has become increasingly politically correct. We can curse the darkness or be part of the solution. We can refocus our attention on the great and glorious reality that Christ became Man so that we might be adopted into the family of God—as sons and daughters of God called to enter into the very life of the Trinity. 0:25.6	Early this morning, I was reading an article in The Economist, and it has precipitated a whole host of thoughts in my mind, and I'll try to communicate those thoughts in this short.
0:38.9	The article in The Economist noted that there is a precipitous decline of Christianity
0:44.8	in England and Wales, so precipitous that less than one half of the population now
0:52.6	consider themselves to be Christian at all, and the number of people
0:56.0	who have no religion has rocketed up 57%. In the meantime, Islam has risen 42% that partly due to
1:08.3	immigration, and there are obviously many other factors as well,
1:13.6	but millions of Muslims have come to places like England and also America to fill a void created by death and abortion.
1:23.7	And while Christians are being marginalized in the West, we should never forget that they're also being martyred in the East.
1:32.4	The fact of Christianity is in process of becoming a minority religion is actually symbolized by the picture of the coronation of King Charles alongside a Hindu prime minister and a Muslim mayor,
1:48.9	a Muslim mayor of London.
1:51.7	But perhaps as troubling as all this is, is that what is left of the church in England,
1:59.1	and even in America, has become increasingly irrelevant.
2:06.2	Instead of being change agents in the culture, the church has become, well, become a microcosm of the

2:58.9	And that there are need of giving up a condition that requires, well, illusions.
3:04.9	That there really is no heaven.
3:07.1	There really is no hell, that the real goal is to establish heaven on earth.
