Hello, and welcome to this sleep story from Abide.

I'm James, and I'd like to thank you for joining me for tonight's story titled Merciful Wisdom.

God's mercy is often mentioned as a comforting reminder of his limitless grace and his faithfulness through all generations.

Certainly, meditating on God's mercy is assuring to us as we try to navigate through life and grow in our faith.

Tonight, we will focus on an aspect of God's mercy as part of his divine wisdom and understanding.

As James chapter 3, verse 17 describes describes it the wisdom from above is first pure then peaceable

gentle open to reason full of mercy and good fruits impartial and sincere.

Settle your thoughts on the phrase full of mercy.

Picture a well that is full of water and will never run dry.

Every time you lower the bucket into the well, you draw out an abundance of water to quench your thirst.

Likewise, God's mercy is limitless.

It doesn't run out or evaporate.

It is constant, steadfast, and abundant.

It quenches our need for forgiveness and grace.

The merciful nature of God is to bear with us and bestow compassion on us.

For in our weaknesses, he is strong. In our our weaknesses he is strong and our failures he is unfailing when we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive you see heavenly wisdom is full of mercy and it is this kind of wisdom we are to seek.
