Diane thanks for joining me tonight for he satisfies in scorched places this

evening we will be hearing about how our forgiving and loving God will guide us in our desert seasons,

satisfying our needs in sunscorched lands.

Nothing is impossible for our God, because even in times of spiritual and emotional drought,

he can make us like well-watered plants, bearing fruit in every season.

Our core Bible passage is from Isaiah 5811, which reads,

The Lord will guide you always. He will your needs in a sun-scorched

land and will strengthen your frame you will be like a well-watered garden like a

spring whose water never fails in this chapter the Lord speaks very sternly to his children about their sin, and yet he says

that when they turn to seek him and do good or they had done evil, he will cause them to

flourish like well-watered gardens.

We will be experiencing this sleep story tonight by hearing mainly about Hagar's story

when she wandered in the desert.

And like her, we will take a wander in the dry desert, but we will be refreshed as we spend time with Jesus in a lush garden oasis.

Let's begin this time by preparing our body, mind, soul, and spirit for deep and restful sleep.
