0:00.0	Who knows how much time we all have left and so what I tried to do in life is
0:10.1	maximize every moment and that might mean you know not getting enough sleep not doing the
0:15.6	meditation not doing this and that but to me it's this it's this unyielding desire to know as much as I can while I can and be productive and contribute to this chain of knowledge.
0:28.8	But I have to say I had much baser desires when I was a 25 year old, 30 year old in this field. I wanted to win a
0:35.8	Nobel Prize. That was my focus. That was my goal. That was my idol. That was what I was going
0:40.6	for above almost everything else. To the point point that I really I did create an experiment that was
0:46.3	You know going to be a shoe in for the Nobel Prize if our results held up and from the title of the book you can tell it they didn't and the episode the
0:55.7	aftermath of that episode really affected my own self-reflection as to why I'm a scientist.
1:03.0	You know, I could do other things.
1:04.0	I could probably program a computer pretty well.
1:06.0	I actually like working on cars and doing physical labor and that's something I've always
1:11.0	been good at.
1:12.0	But the bottom line is I'd never take that's something I've always been good at.
1:12.6	But the bottom line is I'd never take it for granted.
1:16.1	I'm here by a whole lucky stringing and secrets of events
1:20.3	and I aim to take advantage of all that and I really want to know everything.
1:24.0	And that's what drives me in life is the humility that I made some huge mistakes in my life
1:30.0	and I'm going to take advantage of the lessons I've learned from those mistakes to capitalize on it and hopefully make the universe a better place.
