something I stumbled over that gave me a burst of optimism, something you can share with

Hi, guys.

My For The Good of the Order today is about this thing that I read in my 20s that I refer

to constantly, and I just found myself referring to it now in my crazy empty nest, which I'm

adjusting to poorly.

But there, you know, M. Scott Peck, who wrote the road less traveled, and then he wrote

something called further along the road less traveled.

And it was about the difference between self-love and self-esteem and narcissism, and it was

who was trying to make this very fine point.

And he came to this point through some work that he did for the military.

So he was a psychiatrist and the army, and he was trying to figure out kind of what made

people click and really wear success rests, like where, what do all super successful people

have in common?

And so he took a dozen people from different branches of the service, and they gathered

them together for a study.

There were men and women in their late 30s and early 40s that all been considered wildly

successful.
