Hey there and welcome back to Take One.

The podcast that usually brings you an amazing page of Tomit each day.

But friends, it is Ere of Pesach.

In just a few hours, we will all be with our families or friends or loved ones

celebrating the holiday and reading this haggara.

But the haggada, as anyone who has ever but glimpsed at it knows,

isn't exactly a page turner.

It was put together around the same time of the Talmud, roughly, and it is a collection

of Talmudic-style conversations, teachings, and insight, many of them inscrutable to the lay

reader.

So the whole point of the evening is asking questions, and while we can and should, spend

the entire night discussing the haggada until someone

comes and tells us it is time for the morning prayer, I thought it would be helpful.

For the Talmud-loving listeners of this show, if we put together something very different

than our usual stuff, something very timely for Passover, a very, very compact,

short collection of meditations and complications, collected as ever from the teachings of the

wise, wise, wise rabbis, something for all of us to muse about and share come the Seder.

Think of it as our PASIVER special.

It's by no means comprehensive or even always comprehensible, but here we go.

And hopefully some of the stuff that you learn here today will help you be the smartest one in your Seder.
