Welcome to medicine in the morning with myself and Chris Drew as we talk about the weekend

of college football and also just the landscape of sports of football mainly.

But we tend to touch on a thing here or there that is not football oriented.

But I want to start off the show as I have every year since I started this because it's a part

of my, I guess my history, my past and my experiences with the anniversary yesterday

of the Marshall University playing crash back in 1970 on November 14th.

Playing crash was I think, I don't know how many people I think I think it was like,

oh shoot, I just had the number either way.

75, I think I said 75.

That's what I thought.

75 people on the, the plane at Marshall crash, they had just lost a close game to ECU.

Marshall was an interesting back then.

If you don't know the history of Marshall, it's kind of been a shady place several times.

Cheating and recruiting, it's hard to recruit to Huntington West Virginia.

And they had been through kind of a, I don't want to say dark days of their program.

But there's a lot of, a lot of scandals.

I mean, they had a hundred violations and then they finally hired a coach that they felt

like could kind of get it right.

Right.

And they they turned it around.

They were, they were winning a little bit more, but they were doing it a clean way.
