I got to say I do long till live in a country where the Oscars go up against a crucial men's national team game and everyone just looks left and right. Ask their friends, their family. Why would the Oscars hope to program against that soccer juggernaut that that's the future I want.

Yeah, I didn't watch the entire broadcast, but I did see the incident. I did see the you know the the the the the touch line fight that paled next to Marinho versus Vanger. But it's

like the slap we're talking about it was like I mean it was the poor man's marine event. I flip rumble. You know the core of it from this podcast perspective, I guess the unique analysis that we can provide. It was anti-boulders and that triggered this size moment and not

the way it was a terrible it was a crap. It had me a digging deep into movie. Pass to make a crap swiper. I mean, first of all, the P. Share is no laughing matter. I think like six million people suffer from it in the United States every year, but it was a crap ball joke right slap at the entire ball nation.

Yeah, but like you're coming out you're throwing out some material you're trying to hit on some people in Hollywood. It's like it was just a crap joke that's all it was and that's that that's not an offense worthy of being jumped on the stage and slapped on live television

I don't think and that was a hell of a slap rush. Yeah, there's a word could work for it's called assault. It was I mean it was the kind of slap that you really only see now a days during a

little bit of a training session. She'll dutch just offering some tactical encouragement. Yeah, I watched that slap to me, David. It was really just a symbol of the disintegration of the movie business in the Tiktok age and movies used to be and I do count myself as a bit of a cine file.

They used to drive culture. They used to create dreams and aspirations. Now they're just long form content. But real content producers.

They're just long form content essentially a niche taste in in an effort shorter format world when I say to my kids let's watch a movie they're like oh my god two hours of concentration it's honestly borderline when I try and make the read books they you know they they play along but I can tell they're rejecting it they're like dad do we have to

do it. And I did I think about that a lot when I saw when I saw that slap the stress the lack of control of Hollywood in this moment to me really a symbol of the beginning of the death rattle of the movie business.

Oh my hope not I thought King Richard was a fantastic film my kids love that film my kids love Spider-Man my kids love the James Bond movie so there's still movies out there code which one on award my kids love that film too so yeah I'm still working on getting them to read more books I think the movie business will endure longer than than perhaps you but we'll see you're right it is all content the award show definitely more than anything else does seem to have passed that is done.
