Hello and welcome to the game theory podcast offseason preview series where Bryce Simon and I are going to break down all 30 NBA teams forthcoming summers.

Today we're talking about the Memphis Grizzlies, a team that has the number three overall pick and is very likely to get a franchise altering player that they desperately need.

In addition to that, they have the John Morant situation to deal with as well, where it seems somewhat likely that they desperately need. In addition to that, they have the John Morant situation to deal with

this summer. Bryce busy offseason in Memphis, but not like a loaded offseason in Memphis.

This is a team that has, I believe, something like 14 players

under contract right now, including Taj Gibson's non-guaranteed contract. They are still

suffering in the wake of the tragic Brandon Clark passing, which is an incredibly,

incredibly sad moment across the NBA. But it could be a relatively

quiet offseason in terms of sheer number of moves. But I do feel like the moves that will

be made will be very large at the end of the day, including the number

three overall pick.

Yeah.

I mean, when you talk about just from the NBA draft perspective, three picks in the top

32, including one at three, one right outside the lottery, and then even a second round

pick that is in the range of where we still are kind of talking about the second round and

where there are prospects available.

And so from that perspective, a big offseason with the draft.

And then as you mentioned, John Moran, right?

You've traded Desmond Bain last offseason.

You traded Jaron Jackson Jr. at the trade deadline.

And now the third of those three looks like will most likely or potentially possibly be on the move as well.
