Let's begin tonight's journey with Ellie,

who calls their experience

a grandfather's love and an unborn memory.

Ellie says,

Hi, Nick, I've been an avid listener of your podcast

for a couple of years now, and I figured

that I would like to contribute and share two of my stories. It's not your typical story of

shadow people, but rather one of great love, and the other, well, I'm not sure how to classify it.

First, a little background for my first story. My grandparents made their home in a very

small, rural town on the outside of Austin, Texas. They built their home from the ground up when my mom

was about seven years old and raised her and my uncle in that house. When I was around two, my mom

divorced my dad, and we moved in with my grandparents.

My grandfather was an amazing man. He knew just how to make anyone smile. He loved to dance,

loved to cut the grass, and he loved watching his hometown sports. He worked for our hometown school

as a maintenance man. My five other cousins and I would

see him and call out for grandpa. Therefore, all my friends did the same thing, until the whole school,

spanning from high school to elementary. All called him grandpa. Living with my grandparents,

he was my brother and I's father figure. He helped raise us,

taught us everything we needed to know, showed up for us, and supported us through anything
