All right, everybody, welcome back to another edition of The Teardown.

My name is Jeff Luck.

I'm along with Jordan Bianchi.

We are motorsports writers for The Athletic, and I am here at Dover Motor Speedway to talk about the Dover race.

I went to school at University of Delaware, so always love coming back here to Dover, Delaware in general,

had some Grotto's Pizza, had Wawa three times. Although I guess Wawa's kind of everywhere now,

you know, you can get Wawa in Daytona and stuff. It's O.G's Wawa, though. That's the thing.

Yeah. Yeah. It got me through college, Wawa. So that and Grotto's Pizza.

So it's fun reliving that.

And always nice to come back here to a place that I feel is sort of old stomping

grounds in a way.

So obviously, it was a little bit longer than we thought it was going to be because with you know all the way up to

14 laps ago you're like oh they actually got this thing in you know despite 75% chance of rain or

whatever it was going to be very few cautions you know like very yeah pretty much a straightforward race

it was like okay here we go and then the rain came and then everything went to hell in a ham basket.

Yeah.

And a 56 minute red flag.

And it's like, can you tell me out here, do you remember a time when NASCAR waited?

And look, it was, it was obvious that the rain was going to move through quickly.

They had said the race wasn't going to end until 8, 10 p.m. or whatever.

And so they had time and the track did dry quickly.
