And it is worth reminding everyone that just a few days ago, Donald Trump fired his attorney

general, Pam Bondi.

A development that if its intention were to change the conversation from

the war in Iran, it failed miserably. No small part because of the president's Easter morning

post on truth social, in which Trump, much in the spirit of a beatific Jesus emerging from

the tomb and comforting Mary Magdalene, managed to offend the entire Islamic world,

much of the Christian world, as well as providing yet more garish and conclusive evidence

of his rapid descent into demented madness by demanding that Iran, quote,

open the fucking straight, you crazy bastards, or you'll be living in hell.

Praise be to Allah, President Donald J.

Trump. Huh. Okay. We'll come back to that later. We here in Politic don't like to forget

important things just because there's other important things going on, And we haven't forgotten about the Pam Bondi firing.

Not least because there remain more questions than answers about why it happened,

why it happened when it happened, and who is likely to succeed Bondi as our nation's

attorney general when she cleans out her desk and hightails it back to Florida from when she

came,

presumably to seek employment at one of the many strip mall law firms specializing in slip-and-fall

cases that are likely to be the main legal institutions competing for her services.
