Speaking for myself, the religious holiday that I spent this week celebrating was Bruce Springsteen Week in Minneapolis, where the boss played first at the flagship No Kings Rally last Saturday at the

Minneapolis State Capitol and then on Tuesday kicked off the hastily assembled

spring tour of his East Street band plus the incomparable Tom Morello that he is

taking all across the country and notably to all of the main cities that ICE has

laid siege to over the past year not just all of the main cities that ICE has laid siege to

over the past year, not just Minneapolis, of course, but Portland, L.A., Chicago, and finally ending the tour

in Washington, D.C. at the end of May. I am pleased to report that the first show was transcendent

in every way, searching, uplifting, scorchingly political, nearly three hours long without a break,

leaving 18,000 Minneapolisans at the target center by turns ecstatic and openly weeping.
