Summary
Melissa Blatt is the Founder + CEO of indipop, offering simple and affordable healthcare for the self-employed and small business owner. She started out in the entertainment industry behind the camera, which led to business development and marketing roles for diverse companies. After leaving the corporate world to go out on her own and experience the freedom and flexibility that she was craving, she realized that healthcare was going to be a pain point. After exploring all the options for various plans and coming up with the same high premiums and deductibles, she knew she wasn't alone. 57 million in the US alone are "the Independent Population." After conducting a deep dive into the health industry, Melissa found healthshares to be an alternative solution that is not mainstream. She started indipop to curate and hand select high value plans to go on the site saving a lot of stress, time and money!
