Melanie holds a certification in Holistic Nutrition from the AFPA (American Fitness Professionals Association), is a certified wine specialist by the WSET (Wine And Spirits Education Trust), and a member of Mensa International. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Southern California in 2012, with a double Bachelor of Arts in Cinematic Arts and Theatre. While at USC, Melanie worked for major Hollywood producers, including Jerry Bruckheimer, and Jim Whitaker at Walt Disney Studios. She has appeared in numerous television and film projects, from Deadly Wives (Bio Channel) to Neighbors, and was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival for Pablo Moline’s No More Chances.
What When Wine is an updated version of Melanie’s originally self-published The What When Wine Diet: Paleo and Intermittent Fasting for Health and Weight Loss, which became an Amazon #1 Best Seller, amassed 20,000+ readers, and was featured by Audible.com, Funny or Die, and other media outlets. The updated What When Wine features 80% new content, with 50 gluten-free recipes developed by celebrity chef Ariane Resnick.
Melanie personally follows a whole foods Paleo diet, with a nightly glass (or 2!) of wine, and eats in an IF “One Meal Per Day” pattern. She has found this combination provides astounding benefits: effortless weight maintenance without restriction (important for the entertainment industry!), disease prevention, immune system revitalization, clearer skin, and better eyesight, to name just a few! She is now on a mission to spread the wonder of a whole foods and IF lifestyle, while fostering her career as an actress. Because who needs silly diet restriction and hunger?
