you know I'm on vacation right now, but I have an incredible interview for you today. It is the

author of Melania and me. It's Stephanie Winston-Walkoff. I hope you enjoy.

I'm honored today to be joined by the author of the book Melania and Me, the rise and fall of my

friendship with the first lady. Please welcome Stephanie Winston-Walkoff. Hi Stephanie.

Hi Allison, how are you? I'm really well. It's great to be talking to you. Thank you so much for

taking the time today. Thank you for having me. So the first thing I want to ask, your name first

came up in our first podcast, Mollershoe Road, when we were talking about the presidential and

ogurial committee and audits and concerns and emails and talk of that kind of thing. And I want to

get into that a little bit because of recent developments with our friend Tom Barrick. But before

that I want to talk a little bit about the book Melania and Me. I'm really interested to know what

prompted you to write this book and tell your story, how you got out of that whole relationship

and how that impacted you personally. That's a really good question and a really long answer,

but I won't try and condense it. I ended up writing Melania and Me, really I mean I started

writing an op-ed piece. I wanted to, you know, under a non-disclosure agreement with the pick,

I wanted to defend myself from all of the defamatory false articles and statements that were being

said about me. But I was limited because of the NDA. And I started writing an 1800 word op-ed.

And I really believed that in that amount of words, I'd be able to put down how I felt and what

had happened. So it just kept growing and growing and growing. And I realized I didn't even know,

some of the things I was writing down were things that were told to me that I actually didn't know

myself. And that's when I had an aha moment for myself to say, look, and I was devastated, right?
