A final vote on President Donald Trump's signature bill is expected in the House today, after the Senate passed it earlier this week.

A group of House Republican holdouts was concerned about the millions

who are expected to lose their Medicaid health insurance coverage,

and the $3 trillion that will be added to the deficit.

But they were eventually won over by Trump and Speaker Mike Johnson.

The vote was expected earlier this morning, but CNN's Lauren Fox has the details on why

it's been held up.

Well, Leader Jeffries has been speaking, and there's not necessarily any end in sight. He's doing what we call here at the House of Representatives the magic minute.

This essentially gives him the opportunity to hold the floor as long as he can continue speaking.

Now, it's possible that he could wrap this afternoon.

It's possible this could go far longer.

The mood right now is people just waiting around for this final vote,

which we expect will get underway and then move relatively quickly once it starts.

President Donald Trump has promised to sweeten the pot for hardline fiscal hawks,

saying he would use his executive authorities to enforce certain

phase-out provisions for green energy tax credits.
