You only need like a little time every day.

People have full-time jobs, find time to work.

A friend of mine, her first book, she made a vow to herself.

She was going to write one page a day.

And at the end of a year, she was going to have a book.

And she did.

That was acclaimed novelist Meg Wollitzer,

who knows an awful lot about what it takes to finish a book. She's been doing it since her college

days at Brown. Her most recent, The Female Persuasion, just released in paperback and is her

12th novel. It's not just book wisdom makes here to share with us, though. She's learned a

thing or two about the movie world as well. Several of Meg's books have been made into films,

characters born of her imagination played by Dan Aykroyd, Carrie Fisher, and Glenn Close,

who won this year's Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Drama and was nominated for an Oscar

for the wife. Nicole Kibben recently announced she will co-produce the female persuasion for

Amazon Studios and two more of Meg's novels have been snapped up by filmmakers. I asked Meg how

she feels about relinquishing control to Hollywood, and I think you'll find

her take so cool.
