So good evening. Welcome, welcome.

The beginning of this talk

was similar to the talk that I gave

just a few days ago.

So if by chance you heard that talk, you'll hear some

similarities.

So last week I taught a retreat, which, as I often do,

and some of you that may or may not know that when there's residential retreats,

you know, people go for days, or maybe even like day longs, when you're just, like, for example,

here at IMC for one day, it's most common that meditators will meet with a teacher, you know,

one-on-one or in a group, to talk about how their practice is going, to talk about, you know,

answer any questions they have, or to talk about some their practice is going, to talk about, you know, answer any questions they have,

or to talk about some difficulties they're having, or for them to talk about like, well, what's

going well? Or maybe they've touched into some new territory that feels like, oh, yeah, I had this

experience, but I'm not quite sure what it is.

Maybe they're having a glimpse of a new experience.

For example, maybe they're feeling a certain amount of settledness,

some pleasantness, some ease that feels not so familiar, a little bit uncommon.

We don't often realize how much we're agitated until we spend days meditating or the whole

day meditating and we touch into something that's really not agitated. We feel like, oh, this is different.
