It's funny how sometimes I find like little pieces of Dharma

And recently I came across this quote from Rilke letters to a young poet

It's so compact and there's a lot there, a lot there.

So I want to talk a little bit about feelings, about emotions, kind of how to be with them

and what our meditation or mindfulness practice

can do is a support for them. I'll start with a little bit of a definition. We can consider

that emotions are a form of communication from ourselves to ourselves.

In some kind of way, there's this opportunity maybe to learn something about ourselves.

When we're in tune with our emotions, like, oh, wow, I'm really angry.

I guess this is more important to me than I realized.

Or I feel sad. This recognition like, oh yeah, maybe
