Let's take a look into the life and message of Elizabeth Alliot, who called us to live to a higher standard each day, and not be satisfied with a little empty religion in life.

As our series continues, we'll be hearing from family, from friends, and

others who were influenced by the life and message of Elizabeth Alliant. And thanks for coming

along today. Well, we're in the midst of a short series on family devotions, or as they were known in the Howard household, family prayers.

We'll be hearing from a young mother about her appreciation for Elizabeth writing about various stages of life.

Imagine if you tried to have family devotions in a jungle. What would that be like?

Well, think with us today as well about work. And a lot of the things we pray about are about the

things we have, sometimes needs, sometimes wants.

Well, Elizabeth will have a little singing for us a song about too much stuff.

Right now, the family altar is our focus once again. As we think about an Afghan and fellowship, about morning dew and bent knees, what do coffee and

dawn have to do with family prayers?

Think with us about the discipline of a closed door.
