I'm Gabe Gutierrez in Washington, where we're following multiple breaking news stories right now, including a big win for the president in Congress and a major development in the Trump administration's

ongoing fight with Harvard University, with the White House now blocking Harvard from enrolling

international students. But we begin with the latest developments on that apparent anti-Semitic

shooting in Washington, D.C. last night. The suspect in that deadly shooting of two Israeli embassy staffers

is appearing in court this hour. Police say Elias Rodriguez opened fire around 9 o'clock last night

outside the Capitol Jewish Museum, just a few blocks from here. The victims, Yeran Lashinsky,

and Sarah Milgram, a young couple about to be engaged,

were leaving an event at the museum, which was hosted by the advocacy organization,

American Jewish Committee.

While in custody, police say, he shouted

free Palestine. Federal authorities are now handling the investigation with Attorney General

Pam Bondi telling reporters Rodriguez will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

What we saw last night was disgusting. I saw a young man's body being taken away who was about

to get engaged. He had an entire life in front of him, and that was taken away. The hate has got
